Perpetual Calendar – A powerful Timepiece for everyday use.

April 25, 2012

Ulysse Nardin launched the first Perpetual Calendar, which allows forward and backward adjustment of all calendar functions over a single crown, in 1996.

This extraordinary invention set a milestone in the history of watchmaking by combining technical innovation and the user’s comfort.

The groundbreaking technologies of the past decade have led to ever more refined incarnations by introducing the latest direct descendant of the original Perpetual Calendar, the El Toro.

The El Toro Perpetual Calendar is equipped with this iconic manufacture movement featuring an exclusive time zone quick-setting system. Moreover, the hour hand is adjusted instantly to a new local time with pushers (+/-). The adaptation of the oversized date – the day, month and year – is synchronized with the movement of the hour hand.

El Toro is available in a masculine 18 ct rose-gold case with a silverized/blue dial. The bezel and pushers, made in ceramic, also emphasize the complementary palette of rose-gold and blue. The squeletted hands permit easy reading of all calendar functions. The sapphire case-back frames the COSC-certified self-winding manufacture movement. Choose between a leather or rubber strap with folding ceramic deployment clasp.

El Toro showcases the continued ingenuity of the Ulysse Nardin Perpetual Calendar.
