Falcao and Hublot teamps up for an important project they are supporting together in Colombia with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, UNODC.

Bogota, 13th June 2013 – The new Hublot ambassador for Colombia, Radamel Falcao García, together with Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, held an important event in Bogota providing financial support for UNODC to carry out work in the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta Wetlands, thanks to the sale of the “Classic Fusion Falcao” watch.

This special edition, of which there are only 100 pieces in existence (60 in titanium and 40 in gold) will enable the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to provide the wetland community with a sports centre and a fish storage centre, which will allow sufficient space for the children to play, and give a final push to a production project that they are promoting with UNODC.

Falcao, the “world’s best striker” has become part of the Hublot family Usain Bolt and NBA living-legend Kobe Bryant, who are also ambassadors of the Swiss brand in support of social causes.
Falcao and Hublot held the event in the Bogota Hotel Hilton, which was attended by UNODC representative in Colombia, Bo Mathiasen. One of the twists of the evening was provided by Lorelei Taron, Falcao’s wife, who surprised all present by performing a song alongside singer Alex Campos.

The guest list featured personalities such as the Ambassador of the United States, Michael McKinley, and his wife, Fátima McKinley, the renowned designer Hernán Zajar, the vallenato singer Peter Manjarres, the Head of “Hola” magazine Clemencia Gregory, the RCN television presenter Andrea Guerrero, and the Director of the Agency of International Cooperation Sandra Bessudo, among others.
